Can I use 18 gauge wire for LED lights?
Now, I personally use a solid core 18 gauge wire for all my lights and would recommend you do the same.
The cost difference between it and smaller cable is essentially negligible, and 18 gauge is about as big as you can go if you still want to be able to fit it into most COB holders or terminals..
Will 10 gauge wire carry 50 amps?
10 AWG coper wire is rated for 30 Amps in most installations. 50 Amps calls for 6 AWG or 8 AWG high temperature cable.
What wire should I use for 12v?
If you are using a 40 amp breaker you will definitely want to use 10 gauge wire. We also recommend using 10 gauge for ground wires on 7-Way connectors. That is how we wire them in house and most of the 7-Way connectors are molded for 10 gauge wire in the ground pin.

What size wire is good for 100 amps?
When it comes to the lines connecting master and secondary panels, where the line will carry as much as a full 100 amps, use a 2-gauge non-metallic sheathed electrical cable. The cable must contain one or two hot wires depending on your needs, one neutral wire, and one ground wire. Each wire should be 2-gauge in size.
What size wire is needed for a 20 amp 240 volt circuit?
Use 12-gauge wire for a 20-amp circuit, 10-gauge for 30 amps, 8-gauge for 40 amps, and 6-gauge for 50 amps. Check local codes for requirements.
Can 6 gauge wire handle 50 amps?
Fifty-amp Copper Wire No. 6 copper wire can support up to 55-amp at a temperature of 60 degree Celsius. No. 6 wire is strongly recommended.
Can 12 AWG handle 30 amps?

How many volts are in a amp?
Volts / Watts / Amps Converter Watts is also known as volt-amps and is typically used in conjunction with AC power circuits. Fill in any of the two fields to find the value of the third. You have a 12 Volt power supply that delivers 1 Amp of current.
Can you use speaker wire for 12v power?
Get some 12 AWG speaker wire and you’ll be fine for your 12V wiring. This assumes that you are not running very long lengths of wire. 12 AWG is roughly 1.6 ohms per 1000′, and you want to draw 7A, so at 1000′ you’d be dropping 11.2V in your wiring.
